LithuaniaBIO together with the Invest Lithuania, the Ministry of Economy and Innovation and Lithuanian life sciences and biotechnology business representatives were on a business mission in Italy on March 7-9.
During the business mission representatives from Lithuania visited the OpenZone cluster. A campus funded entirely by private capital, dedicated to Health and founded on an approach geared towards open innovation.

Lithuanian representatives also met with Veronica Squinzi, vice president of Lombardy business association “Assolombarda” and Gabriele Pelissero, president of “Cluster lombardo scienze della vita“.
In order to develop and strengthen Lithuanian-Italian cooperation, a memorandum of understanding was signed in Milan between the life sciences cluster of the Lombardy region and the association LithuaniaBIO. This will allow strengthening the partnership in attracting investments, promoting technological innovation and entrepreneurial initiatives.
Representatives of the following Lithuanian companies went to the business mission: Biomapas, Laboratorija1, PLACENTA JSC, Cureline Baltic, Fitodenta, Pulsetto, RDA spot, Genie Biotech, Bioanalizės sistemos, Inovatyvios diagnostikos centras, Invest Lithuania.
