LithuaniaBIO was established in 2003 as the importance of biotechnology in science and economy grew. LithuaniaBIO unites business companies in Lithuania that create and produce biotechnological products, provide services in the life sciences sector, and scientific institutions conducting fundamental and applied research in biotechnology, including individual researchers actively involved in biotechnological research.

One of the main goals of LithuaniaBIO is to promote biotechnology science and its broader application in the Lithuanian economy to address global environmental and quality of life challenges. With the rapid changes in foreign policy and market needs, it is essential to expand export geographic boundaries and seek new clients. The project addresses the problem related to limited opportunities for small businesses to participate in international events, establish connections with foreign clients, and effectively expand the export of their products and services. To solve the identified problem, LithuaniaBIO initiated a project for its members, with the main goal of encouraging small, and midsize enterprises to focus more on searching for new foreign markets and expanding existing ones.
