Lithuania establishing business partnerships in Norway!
Lithuanian Biotechnology Association together with Lithuanian Embassy in Norway organized business mission to Health tech Oslo Innovation week on September 26-29! Lithuanian companies from the biotech and medhealth sector participated in the event and established the first contacts with the main Norway‘s health tech ecosystem stakeholders.
The event was attended by more than 20 speakers representing Norwegian and Lithuanian governmental institutions, leading clusters, research organizations, investors and startups. Lithuania had the attention of more than 100 sector-related participants.
Jonas Mažeika gave a great opening speech at the event.
The following Lithuanian representatives participated in the business mission: Erika Kuročkina adviser to the Minister of Ekonomikos ir inovacijų ministerija, Dovilė Juozapaitė from VUL Santaros klinikos. They were discussing at event on the importance of favorable policy environment for innovative health tech businesses with Trine Radmann, Head of International Affairs at Norway Health Tech, Magnus Bårdén from Compare and Alex Moltzau from NORA – The Norwegian Artificial Intelligence Research Consortium.
Also Agne Vaitkevičienė CEO at Lithuanian Biotechnology Association, Mindaugas Bulota, Head of Innovation and Entrepreneurship center at Kaunas University of Technology together with Cathy Capdeville Head of Healthcare at Innovation Norway, Tale Skjølsvik professor from OsloMet – Oslo Metropolitan University and Egil Utheim, Vice President at Halodi Robotics participated at panel discussion on science based entrepreneurship and challenges for the commercialization of innovations.
The third topic was – from startup to scaleup in health tech sector. Here we could hear insights on the importance of proper regulation and investment climate and public-private partnership from these great panelists – Katherine Mellis from Hadean Ventures, Ingrid Olstad Busterud CEO at Helseinn, Stefan Skoglund from DigitalWell Ventures together with Lithuanian representatves – Paulius Vilemas from Lithuanian Business Angel Network LitBAN and Arnas Karužas CEO at Ligence.
The participation of Lithuanian companies in these events was implemented according to the according to the project “Search for new foreign markets of the Lithuanian Biotechnology Association” implemented in accordance with the 2014-2020 European Union funds investment action program measures 03.2.1-LVPA-K-801 “New opportunities LT” no. 06.
