BIO-REDAI & Health Data · Personalised Medicine Hackathon

AI & Health Data Personalized Medicine Hackathon

Two days in Kaunas where researchers, clinicians, startups and data specialists turn health-data problems into investable business cases. Building AI-powered solutions for a healthier tomorrow.

2–3 October 2026
Kaunas, Lithuania · LSMU Emmanuel Levinas Centre

Where this leads

Stage 1 · 3 Oct

Kaunas pitch session

Our jury scores every business case and selects the top 2 to represent Lithuania.

→
Stage 2 · 26 Oct

Inter-regional final

Online. 14 regional finalists pitch to an international jury, one member per region.

→
Selection

Top 10 admitted

Joined by 5 more business cases identified through regional mapping and benchmarking.

→
The cohort

15 cases accelerated

Mentoring, investment-readiness and advisory support across the full programme.

Challenge

A well-framed problem co-created during a Thematic Lab: what is broken, missing or inefficient, and why it matters for less-developed regions.

Business case

The solution, framed for investment: technically feasible, commercially viable, interregionally structured. One challenge can generate several.

Kaunas hackathon challenge areas

From challenge to business case — the problems teams will spend two days solving.

01

AI diagnostics & disease prediction

Hard to validate AI tools and embed them in hospital workflows — evidence, RWE, clinician trust.

02

Health data platforms & interoperability

Fragmented data; no secure, standardised access to health datasets for research and innovation.

03

Regulatory environment & investment readiness

Gathering the expertise all startups need to attract in order to deploy their solution.

04

Others — presented at the hackathon

Have a problem worth solving? Submit your own challenge and it may extend this area — or join the Challenge Deep Dive as an expert.
